Seasoned Pork Chops

Ingredients:

  • 4- 4 ounce pork chops
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon sage
  • ½ teaspoon thyme
  • ½ cup vegetable oil

Instructions:

Yield: 4 chops
Serving size: 3 oz
One serving = 3 meat, 1 bread exchange

  1. Preheat vegetable oil in skillet
  2. Mix flour, pepper, thyme and sage
  3. Dredge pork chop in flour, pepper, thyme and sage.
  4. Brown chops in hot oil on both sides, cook until tender.
  5. Remove from skillet and serve hot.

Suggestions:
Other seasonings that may be used with or in place of those listed are basil, marjoram, rosemary, onion powder, garlic powder, or oregano. Pork chops may be served with apple sauce, spiced apples, peaches or mint jelly.
