Chicken a la King
Ingredients:
- 2 cups cooked noodles/pasta*
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tablespoon flour
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 unsalted chicken margarine or butter
- 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1 ½ cups cut-up cooked unsalted chicken
- ¾ cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 Tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
*Can be substituted for an equivalent low protein starch alternative

Instructions:
Heat oven to 350°. Cook pasta as directed. Mix water and flour in a medium saucepan until smooth. Stir in whipping cream and bouillon cube. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Stir in butter, vinegar, pepper, chicken, mushrooms and pasta. Pour into an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake uncovered until bubbly, about 30 minutes.
